DELAIN To Headline U.K.'s FEMME METAL FESTIVAL

DELAIN — the Dutch gothic rock/metal project founded by ex-WITHIN TEMPTATION keyboardist Martijn Westerholt (brother of WITHIN TEMPTATION's Robert Westerholt) — has been confirmed as the headliner of the Femme Metal Festival, set to take place November 8, 2009 at the King's Hall in Herne Bay, Kent, United Kingdom. More acts will be announced soon.

"April Rain", the new album from DELAIN, recently entered the German Media Control chart at position No. 96. The CD will be released in North America on June 30 via Sensory Records (with U.S. distribution through Ryko and Canadian distribution through Sonic Unyon). The North American version of the album will feature a bonus track — "Come Closer" — which was previously only available on the limited-edition digipack version of the LP.

"April Rain" benefits from the return of NIGHTWISH bassist/vocalist Marco Hietala who sings male vocals on two tracks, as well as world-renowned cellist Maria Ahn.
